Dr. Xinping Zhuo - "Academic Studies Concerning Society and Religion in Contemporary China"

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) will be visiting FIU on Thursday, April 12, 2018. The delegation will be led by Dr. Xinping Zhuo, the president of the Chinese Religious Studies Association and member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (the Chinese counterpart of Senator). Other members include five Research Fellows from the the Islamic Studies Division of the World Religions Institute—Dr. Lin Li, Dr. Weijian Li, Dr. Jing Ma, Dr. Xi Wang, and Dr. Qiongying Yan.

During their visit, Dr. Zhuo will give a talk titled "Academic Studies Concerning Society and Religion in Contemporary China" in DM 100 from 12:30-1:15 PM. The talk will be followed by a meeting with FIU faculty in SIPA 502-503 (1:30-3:00 PM), where we expect to exchange ideas about research and possible future collaborations.
