The Honorable Mr. Ichiro Fujisaki, Ambassador of Japan to the U.S., visited FIU on August 30th to give an on-campus lecture. The event was a total success, with over 200 people, including faculty, staff, students and interested community members who gathered at the MARC Pavilion to receive him. Japanese Consulate General Namiki and Dean Ken Furton, along with SIPA Director John Stack, were all really impressed by the amazing turnout and by the quality of the questions, as well as the fact that many students lined up to have their pictures taken with the Ambassador after the lecture.
