The Arts of the Song and Yuan dynasties (10-14th centuries) in China
An Asian Studies MA graduate student, Susan St. Denis, in Dr. Lidu Yi's Arts of China and Japan course did a fantastic job documenting the arts of the Song and Yuan dynasties (10-14th centuries) in China. This specific assignment was meant to train students to be a museum curator, an educator and a gallery person.

2021-2022 Omar K. Carrion Scholarship Recipients
FIU Asian Studies Program is honored to announce this year's Omar K. Carrion Scholarship Recipients. Three outstanding students in Asian Studies have been awarded for 2021-2022: Kyle Beekman (Award Winner), Brittany Nobles (Runner-Up), and Tatianna Valiente (Runner-Up). We congratulate them for their amazing achievements!

"A Pandemic Picture Show": FIU Hubert Library Exhibit showcases work by Asian Studies MA Alumnus

Ceremony of Grant Award by the Consulate of Japan in Miami and FIU Department of Modern Languages
The Japan Foundation has awarded a Salary Assistantship Grant to the FIU Department of Modern Languages for Japanese Language Courses that will be utilized to cover parts of adjunct professors' salaries.
