Dr. Steven Heine, Professor and Director of Asian Studies, will be speaking on his book titled Sacred High City, Sacred Low City: A Tale A Tale of Religious Sites in Two Tokyo Neighborhoods (Oxford University Press, 2012). Dr. Heine is an authority on East Asian religion and society, especially the history of Zen Buddhism and its relation to culture in China and Japan.
